I was there too, if one looked at the inventory labels (the small yellow ones) on the tackle items they all came from the same vendor who would appear to have set ridiculously high reserve prices, hence none of the items sold.

I attended the auction with a view to bidding on some of the listed items.
The prices the auctioneer was expected compared to NEW prices in the shops for what is after all – used/second-hand items!
Needless to say, much to the disappointment of everyone – none were bid on and all tackle remained unsold.

I would guess someone? had advised the auction house as to their value, but he mistakenly was unrealistic in asking for the RRP and above it!.

I kept a record and description of the tackle and reserves in case your interested?

Quite a contrast from the previous match, the ice fishing contests are back with almost clear water.

Good size fish at one end of the match length, 3 roach for 1lb 9 peg 1, 11 bream for 8lb 10 on peg 2 and half way down on peg 9, 82 bits for 1 lb 5

2009 – 178 – (39%)
This is not the actual number of members but the number who returned their yearbook centre page. 400 were printed initially, with an extra 60 printed later in groups for 8, 12 or 20.

I hope to see well in excess of 200 returned this year.

2009-12-24 T&A Angling Lines indicates that 500 were stocked into Listerhills length at Apperley Bridge. This has been confirmed as true.

Almost word for word, they inserted 2 occurrences of “Sunday,” – if I had put them in I think they would have removed them. Other editing changes are minor, 1 case change, dropping spaces in weights, changing numeric numbers of fish to words
